The sometimes overzealous base infantry force known as the Companions faction serves a dual purpose in all the provinces under the Companions’ control and protection- they are both a Peacekeeping police force and a relentless and effective attack squad.
Peacekeepers have an almost religious devotion to their cause. They want to rid the world of injustice and help the persecuted. Most of the time, this manifests in simply maintaining law and order so peaceful citizens can go about their lives.
Other times, however, there has been known to become a sort of perverse irony in their supposed humanitarian goals. They are willing to stop at nothing to achieve this idolized peace and harmony, even if it means killing innocents and suppressing inconvenient truths.
